CELEBRITIES + FANS + IPADS + OPEN BAR = THE AWARD SHOW OF THE YEAR

A&E wanted to make their newly acquired Critics’ Choice Awards something different. We came back to them with The Social Centerpiece. Sitting on every table, amongst the flowers and egos, was an iPad, where fans could connect directly with the celebs throughout the show.

It featured real-time voting for nominees, two-way FaceTime conversations, and what turned out to be everyone’s favorite thing ever, Tweet-A-Drink. And they sure did.

Another big hit was the Fan Art Wall set up at the Blue Carpet. When celebrities stood in front, all their fan art from across the web was populated in real time. They loved it.

FUN FACT

Tweet-A-Drink to celebs was such a success that tequila was banned the following year. Champagne only. Sorry, Will Forte.
