Between Game of Thrones seasons three and four, HBO wanted to generate buzz with their die-hard fans, while bringing in legions of new ones., Turns out, we had an audience ready to put one particular head on a spike and we knew that would get the word out.

 

At that time, Westeros' liege, King Joffrey, was the most hated character on television and the Internet, so we decided to serve him up on a silver platter by creating the first-ever social media roast aptly titled: Roast Joffrey.

And the realm got medieval.
